Wonder Of Wondermilk

Wonder Of Wondermilk.

Wondermilk The Cupcake shop at IOI City Mall is enchanting even for adults. The corner shop caught my eye as it looked surreal and magical in design. it is a glass and wood encased, retro looking shop with an old fashioned wooden door.

I shot through the glass and let the camera's auto focus fluctuate, clicking when it was nicely soft. That added to the enchanting, magical atmosphere created by the rows of hanging lights inside. Some unexpected things provide the photographer with the most fun.

Panasonic GM-1, ISO 400, f3.5, 1/60 sec.

Wesak Day - Bokeh Paradise

Bokeh Pardise with the Sony A7R and the Sony FE 70-200mm G OSS lens

At the Buddhist Maha Vihara Termple in Brickfields is a tent where hundreds of oil lamps are kept lit. It is a photographer's paradise.

Some newbie photographers think 'bokeh' is as simple as an out-of-focus background. It is more than that. It is how the lens render the out-of-focus point(s) of light in relation to the part that is in focus. There is an aesthetic and subjective quality that depend on the lens, aperture and distance.

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Lamps

Bokeh Of Oil Lamps In Temple

Saw a temple in the middle of this first stopover town northbound on Federal Route 1. I went inside the See Yeah Kong Temple in Rawang to take a quick look.

Photography Notes: The Sony Zeiss 24-70mm is my 'go to' lens for this kind of run-and-gun photography. I also have the 55 mm f1.8 Sonnar T* in the bag, should the interior be too dark or if I need more focus isolation. As it was, the zoom rendered a nice bokeh.

Was a good morning warmup and workout for the gear. I foresee a long day of exploration when I return to the Ulu Yam area afterwards.
