Solving One Problem At A Time.

Kind follower Viji (@vrviji on IG) gave me some feedback about the Search Box on my blog not displaying as it should on his iPhone. I suspect it is also worsen by the cranky Drupal CMS I am using. Compatibility on mobile devices is inevitably complicated with so many OS, browsers and screen sizes on so many different devices out there in the market. Tip: Resetting zoomed view to default can usually help.

An Idea Came With The Storm

An idea came during the crazy storm just now. Since my blog has many travel and lifestyle content, why didn't I place a hotel search box on it as well?

Storm was so heavy I had to shut down the PC and I am not so well versed with the Drupal CMS. Needed to research on Google. Could not do it when lightning strikes were getting very rowdy.

Double The Deals For You.

Due to competition between the two principal and giant hotel booking aggregators, I can now display deals from both the competing giants which both are my partners. It is much trouble to add retrospectively, though.

The deals from Booking dot com are traditionally shown as a vertical banner for each city. Agoda dot com's smaller banners, or what they are called dynamic banners, are shown as a sample above (circled in red).

Finding A Hotel In An Emergency,

Some taxi hailing services were criticised for exploitative surge pricing following the London Bridge terror attack. I am curious as to how hotels in an affected city respond to a crisis. After all, in a modern booking system, where rates are adjusted dynamically this can be monitored. This is not a scientific test as no business will show their price before increase or the upward percentages, if any. Price increases are understandable during a natural disaster though.

Got Discount Or Not Ah?

Cities and hotels with discounts

Sometimes when I try to promote my hotel booking site to a friend, and the friend will ask "can I get discounts?" That's a very typical Malaysian response. Not just about value but friends must always give discounts, it seems.

I love to give you a discount but it is not within my control. I understand the sentiment and the desire to get maximum value as a Malaysian myself. That is why I recently launched the Hotel Deals Finder feature.

Hotels In Seremban

Hotels In Seremban

When I was in Seremban, I drove around the suburb town of Taman AST where I saw so many pubs, bars and nightclubs. Seemed like the capital of debauchery in Seremban.

Similarly, Kuala Lumpur has the Jalan P Ramlee area where gullible white male tourists fall n love with transvestite night workers and send a text to his mother the next day. “Mom, I fell in love with the girl of my dreams and may marry her” One Brit did.

Hometown Colours.

Rain falls on the parched road of tiny Sungai Mati town. The town of Dead River used to be a bustling river port. It was so named because it became an oxbow lake or billabong after breaking from the Muar River. Located on the outskirts of Muar town.

The Shangri-La Hotel, Paris

The Shangri-La is a Parisian paradise.

The aptly-named luxury hotel in the City of Love is quite simply as good as it gets.According to a review by the Belfast Telegraph today.

That is; if you want a hotel room in Paris with a view of the Eiffel Tower from your bed. You could also sit on the balcony with a glass of champagne taking in the view. Or see the super structure from the bath tub in the room.
