Krabi Phi Phi

Krabi.

Krabi Town and Province on the South Western part of Thailand is an area characterized by craggy, sheer limestone cliffs, dense mangrove forests, and more than a hundred offshore islands.

Some of its most popular beach destinations include the Phi Phi Islands, which jut from the sea like giant rainforested boulders, and Railay Beach, accessible only by boat and a prominent rock-climbing spot. Koh Hong or Hong Island is another one of the more popular islands.

The Beach of Bagan Lalang

I've been looking at my sunset pics to feature more for the Beaches For Your Sunset Pics series. See sidebar for related links.I think Bagan Lalang can be the 4th beach to include. I know. Singapore has Clarke Quay and Boat Quay and what do we have? Weed Quay! Haha. It may be far but it has yielded consistently good sunsets for me, so far.

Another Morib image

Beaches For Your Sunset Pics - Part 1b.

If you noticed. I named this Part1b because it is an unplanned inclusion of another Morib beach sunset view. It is the silhouette pic of my friend. the shapely and beautiful Sarawakian, Elisha.

Sunsets can be great for silhouettes. It is also photographed from the Morib Esplanade, as with the previous beach pic.but on a different day.

Don't worry if you arrived late at the beach, It is the afterglow of various hues that is magical. Many people leave the minute the sun drops below the horizon. Don't and you will be rewarded.

 A Morib Sunset

Beaches For Your Sunset Pics - Part 1

Sunsets are almost always fabulous from the seaside. KL is landlocked. So what do we do? We can travel to a beach. Where can we go that is near and practical? In this series we look at three beaches I have captured beautiful sunsets previously. They are west coast sites facing the Straits of Malacca and the setting sun.

We start off with Morib beach. It's fairly easy to get to if you can get on the SKVE which takes you to Banting.

Sky Mirror or Ssaran Beach off Kual Selangor

I wanted to promote the new VI Boutique Hotel in Pasir Penmbang in Kuala Selangor. They opened on March 25th and unfortunately their applications to Agoda and Booking.com are not approved as yet. I will link them when they are ready. Credit to recently featured Muo Boutique Hotel in Muar for sorting out their online booking affiliations upon opening their doors. I saw the pre-opened VI Boutique Hotel when I was heading to Sekinchan in late January 2017.

Sunset Capital Of The World

Stunning sunset in Kota Kinabalu

Kota Kinabalu is the sunset capital of the world. I don't mean it in the metaphorical sense as in declining. There was a spectacular or glorious sunset every day I was there. This is a scene from the same balcony I captured the earlier pic of the flickering silver sea with Bernard Khoo. Without warning, it soon developed into a majestic golden sunset,

Silver Sea

On a rainy day, the former South China Sea and Gaya Island were part of a glittering silver landscape. Photographed from our Kota Kinabalu apartment hotel Marina Court with the late Bernard Khoo (blogger Zorro Unmasked) blowing smoke from his pipe, next to me. I told Bernard the landscape may soon become gold. Bernard passed away on 4th April 2014.

The Gold Coast Model

My former colleague and long time friend, the statuesque Simp Lee sent me a bunch of pics she took at the Avani Goldcoast Sepang, where she recently stayed and was a happy camper. Thank you, Simp. She's regularly seen in television commercials, is also a model, a yogi, homemaker, chef and was the beautiful Mrs Asia Supreme Earth 2015.
